Now in its 11th year, the Homecoming Career Fair is an event matching area employers with career-seekers. It is set for Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, from 11am to 4pm at the WNC Agricultural Center on Airport Road in Fletcher.
As of press time, the list of employers includes those of staffing/placement firms, restaurants, schools, state and county agencies, retail establishments, healthcare facilties and community organizations, and more are expected.
AARP North Carolina will host seminars at the career fair, but no further details had been published by press time.
According to reports, it was estimated that up to 3,000 jobseekers attended past Homecoming Job Fairs, while employers have sought to fill thousands of open positions in technology and professional services, among others mentioned. Students and recent graduates also are welcome.
Career-seekers are directed to enter the venue at Gate 5; there is no charge for parking.
