Website System Logistics / Vertique
I. JOB PURPOSE:
This position involves support and programming of SLC’s proprietary VPS and Systore software. The team that develops and supports our software is what sets us apart from the competition and in this critical IT role you will develop and support one or more application environments and the various systems and processes surrounding its use.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
A. Troubleshooting software/IT/PLC related issues
B. Analyze data using MS SQL; demonstrates expertise in using MS SQL server
C. Become a subject matter expert on the use of the VPS and Systore software
D. Provide new coding and debugging in C#
E. Go onsite during startups to complete installation and help train customers
F. Diagnoses, resolves, and documents technical software problems for remote and on-site users of SLC equipment
G. Using ticketing tools available, documents each instance of service intervention for record keeping purposes
H. Coordinates timely service and repair of equipment and software owned by third-party vendors
I. Ensures the client receives a superior technical support experience by communicating and listening attentively and responding appropriately to client concerns
J. Some shift work may be required. Primary hours will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM., 5 days a week, plus an on-call weekend every 5th week. Depending on needs, we may need times to shift to cover other personnel on 2nd or 3rd shift.
III. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
A. Associate’s degree or higher in related area
B. 3+ years of professional experience
C. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of computer operating systems, networks, and software along with their interactions
E. Travel is up to 20% initially to visit sites and learn the systems; some weekend and holidays scheduling is part of this position.
