Board Member Alyx is a Developer in Asheville who specializes in websites and tech solutions for businesses and non-profits.

Board Member (at large) Chris is a relative newcomer to the Asheville community. He has worked in a variety of industries including aerospace, telecommunications, and Internet-of-Things. Chris is excited to be supporting Asheville’s flourishing entrepreneurial and technology scene through his involvement with Meet-the-Geeks, the Hatch AVL Foundation, and Venture Asheville.

Treasurer Hans Hegge is an entrepreneur with a focus on mobile and user engagement.  A graduate of Wayne State University with a degree in personal and corporate finance. He has advised or started more than 5 businesses. Hans loves to spend time outside with his family, brainstorm ideas, help advise startups and sample micro brew. 

Director Emeritus Tracy Schmidt, PMP, CSM, is a software product manager with Dorel Industries’ e-Commerce division. Her career spans from application project management, to managing an IT department; to organizational development; to plain language communication. Tracy, an Asheville resident since 2004, is interested in growing a strong IT workforce in WNC through business and education partnerships.
