Women Who Code (WWCode), a global organization with over 100,000 members, is taking applications for its 2019 cohort of new chapters. The Women in Technology Meetup in Asheville is aiming to morph itself into a WWCode chapter so they can benefit by being part of a larger women in tech movement, get financial support, and in the process help raise the technology profile of local women in tech and our city as a whole.
In the cohort selection process WWCode looks for strong leadership. Since each applicant is a potential co-leader, multiple applications from Asheville would indicate a high level of interest here, and bode well for our acceptance into the 2019 cohort.
If you are a woman who supports the creation of a WWCode chapter in Asheville and has an interest in co-leading, advising, or contributing to the group in any way, please fill out the new network application form. There is an opportunity for free text entry at the end of the form, so if your interest lies outside of a leadership role there is an opportunity to make that clear. The form is accessible at www.womenwhocode.com by selecting “Start A New Network”, or at this direct link.
